Outdoor Climbing | Mt Lemmon Half Day
Join us for Climbing in Color’s half day of outdoor climbing on Mt Lemmon with Granite Mountain Guides!
On Saturday, May 18th, we will meet in the morning at 9 am at Le Buzz on Tanque Verde Rd, at the base of Mt Lemmon, before heading up the mountain.
This half day clinic is meant to introduce new or returning climbers to outdoor rock climbing before our big climbing and camping trip to Red Rocks this November.
Granite Mountain Guides (@granitemountainguides) will provide instruction at Mt Lemmon. Space is very limited.

Outdoor Meetup | Cochise Stronghold 2023
Join us for Climbing in Color’s Outdoor Meetup at Sweet Rock!
We are so excited to see you at our yearly outdoor event! Join CIC for our outdoor climbing and camping trip in Cochise Stronghold! On Saturday October 7th, we will meet in the morning at 9 a.m. at Sweet Rock crag. All skill levels are welcome!
Granite Mountain Guides will provide instruction at Sweet Rock. Then, in the evening, we will head to our campground for more fun!
What/When/Where:
October 7th from 9am to 5 pm, climbing at Sweet Rock in Cochise Stronghold. For those interested, we will be setting up camp in the evening, once we are done climbing. There are plenty of camping spots available, and we will find one for the entire group.
Admission:
$25/person for guided instruction (includes equipment rental for those that need it). CIC is subsidizing the cost of the instructor!

Gear Collection & Give Away
Gear Collection & Give Away
In collaboration with AZWCC, CIimbing in Color, The Bloc, Rock Solid and Rocks & Ropes gyms, we are hosting temporary gear collection sites in Tucson.
What is a gear collection site? A place to bring new and gently used gear that is collected and given away to fellow climbers. Please clean your gear before you drop it off. There will also be disinfectant spray near each collection box.
How can you contribute? You can donate your used and new climbing shoes, chalk bags, camping equipment, clothes, tape and safe hardware. Please no harnesses, rope or helmets.
Where can I donate? Visit any one of the three rock gyms in Tucson; Rock Solid, Rocks & Ropes or the Bloc and look for our donation box and poster. We are collecting gear for the next two months (August & September 2023)
What will happen to the gear? Once all the gear is collected, Climbing in Color and AZWCC will be hosting gear give aways at their monthly meet ups throughout the month of November. You can attend in November to look over all the available gear and take what you need. Check the rock gym calendars for meet up times or visit www.climbingincolor.org or www.azwcc.org/tucson for more info.

Outdoor Meetup | Cochise Stronghold
Join us for Climbing in Color’s first Outdoor Meetup!
Come climb at Sweet Wall in Cochise Stronghold! On Saturday October 8th, we will meet in the morning at 9 am at Sweet Rock crag. All skill levels are welcome!
Granite Mountain Guides (@granitemountainguides) will provide instruction at Sweet Rock for those new to outdoor climbing. Experienced climbers will also climb at Sweet Rock. Then, in the evening, we will head to our campground for more fun! Space is limited for guided instruction, please sign up ASAP!
