"The Coronado National Forest conserves a distinctive landscape: the Sky Islands. The Forest is enjoyed by millions of visitors who come to climb, hike, camp, learn, hunt, fish, splash, ride bikes, goof off, hang out with their families and ponder the deep history of southern Arizona. At nearly 1.8 million acres, the Forest is larger than all of Arizona’s three National Parks combined, yet many who live around it or enjoy know relatively little about its purpose or management.

During this presentation from the US Forest Service, we’ll chat about the story of the Coronado National Forest, what it offers the community, trends around outdoor recreation, and what more can be done to better serve the public.

Adam Milnor is the Recreation, Heritage and Lands Staff Officer for the Coronado National Forest where he leads efforts to plan for sustainable recreation, trail stewardship and engage the community in caring for our shared resources. He has 15 years of experience in public lands and recreation, including stints at the National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management. He lives in Tucson’s West University Neighborhood with his wife and two year old daughter."
